OQO was to explore other screen sizes

This img is taken from the Oct. 2006 Board of directors Presentation. Thanks who ever sent that to me. I don’t want to post it myself but as I was given the link it’s on the web. Guess we will have to wait for google to index it. Or a user to post it on the forum.

I wish I knew what all these “Pxx” projects refereed to. P79 seems to be the 02.

The cost to rebuild the motherboard and everything else for the p79 (read 2+) to support the Intel Atom is actually less than I expected, $1.2 million. This might have even been partly subsidized by Intel, there is a note referring to OPEX being lower than expected due to R&D on the P79 (2+), t5his would imply someone else was paying the staff costs and reducing the OPEX.

Also I wonder what the p43 was going to be? The note refers to Menlo I guess this was a typo and should have been Menlow, this was intel platform for MIDs and mobile phones. I have a sneaky suspicion they were planning a smartphone.
